We are on the Welsh coastal footpath and there are some fabulous hikes straight out of the house. We are 15 miles from Caernarfon which has it's famous castle and other cultural attractions ... plus access over the Menai Straits to Anglesey. We have at least 10 beaches around us here on the Llyn Peninsula and a challenging links golf course at Nefyn (8 miles). The beach pub at Nefyn is famous and there are some good restaurants nearby . There are cafes aplenty and shopping is good in Pwllheli and Abersoch although geared mostly to beach life and casual wear (full listings in our housebook).
