Large period house near Ludlow Shropshire Our large listed Georgian country house is located in the pretty village of Hopton Wafers and has beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. This is walking and shooting country . Hopton Wafers is 15 minutes from Ludlow. Ludlow is a pretty historic black and white town described thus by the poet Sir John Betjeman "Ludlow....is probably the loveliest town in England with its hill of Georgian houses ascending from the river Teme to the great tower of the cross-shaped church, rising behind a classic market building." - John Betjeman, 1943 
Our home is a lovely large Georgian country house with a beautiful garden bordering a brook to wander around or to sit in. There's also the kitchen garden producing fruit and vegetables that guests are welcome to have. There are 7 bedrooms and five bathrooms and the house can easily accommodate up to 13 people or it could be used for as little as two. Our local pub 'The Hopton Crown' is within a short walking distance and it serves good food in a warm convivial atmosphere with open log fires.
