We are a family of 4, with children aged 5 and 7. We love the outdoors and enjoy spending time together. Before having children we travelled extensively and we are excited by what new adventures and cultural exchanges home exchanging might bring.
We are interested in international exchanges and UK exchanges are open to anywhere... city life, the seaside or a different type of rural to our rural offering! So please do get in contact, we would love to hear from you.

We absolutely loved our stay in Blackboys. The house was beautiful and well organised, with a fabulous kitchen and everything you need to cook. The garden was also charming and relaxing. The area is wonderful....very scenic and lots to do. We went to the coast, Eastbourne to the Towner Gallery, and to St Leonards to enjoy the beach and meet up with friends. We did some lovely walks locally and enjoyed a few drinks in the village pub. It was a fabulous exchange and we hope to repeat it next year!

Everything was just perfect all around, we felt at home. We enjoyed the jacuzzi and the garden. The children also felt very comfortable here. Great playroom for our 8 year old. The area invites you to do a lot. Temperatures in summer ideal for excursions. Castles, gardens, the sea, nice cozy pub nearby. Communication with Tim and Amy was always very warm and friendly. You are the reason why we love this type of vacation so much. Thank you for a perfect exchange.

Amy & Tim's home is clearly furnished with much love and proved to be an excellent choice for our first holiday in East Sussex! Everything we needed was provided to a high standard and we are so thankful that our two small granddaughters were able to visit - we made some wonderful family memories enjoying Bertie & Dottie's fab toys and play equipment! The surrounding countryside is gorgeous - perfect for exploring by bike or walking, with many lovely historic towns crammed with antiques & collectibles. Oh yes and a fabulous hot tub to enjoy in the evenings! What more could you ask for? No doubt we will remain friends and thank you for making it special.

Descripción de la casa que ofrecemos en intercambio

Welcome to our lovely family home! We live in a 4 bed house (1 king size suite, 1 double, 1 single and 1 room with bunk beds). We have a spacious ground floor comprising of a large drawing room with open fire, a big open planned kitchen and breakfast room, a utility room and a large playroom. Outside we have various lovely seating areas, an impressive tree house for children, a pizza oven, fire pit and a hot tub for all to enjoy!

We are a family of 4 with children aged 2 and 4. We are seeking to explore both the UK and abroad and are open to adventures both near and far. The children are well behaved and with the new work from home reality, as long as internet is accessible we are excited by what opportunities may await us over the school holidays!

Descripción de nuestro barrio y la zona en que se encuentra

Our neighbourhood is very friendly but quiet. We are spoilt for stunning walks and will leave you with OS maps of all our favourites routes. We have an award winning country pub on our doorstep which is a must visit either for its choice of 3 gardens, or its delicious food.
We are fortunate enough to have both the Ashdown Forest on our doorstep (home to the one and only Winnie the Pooh) and the Sussex coastline only 20min away. We are also equidistant to Brighton’s rich and vibrant city life and the culture and arts of the pantiles in Tunbridge Wells. Our village is situated between Lewes (great for antique shopping and rare finds), Heathfield which boasts the cuckoo trail (a cycle way on a disused railway line which takes you directly to Eastbourne) and Uckfield where you can get a train to London’s capital city within 1hr 30min. As I write this I think how lucky we are!

From our house it is a moments walk into the beautiful Sussex country side, where you can adventure to your hearts content. We have numerous farm and adventure parks which keep the little ones entertained. We also have great shopping, some superb restaurants and pubs nearby. With Brighton, London and Tunbridge Wells all accessible for day trips you can emmerse yourself with city life one day and choose the forest, the beach or country life the next. We love visiting National Trust Gardens, going to the pinetum and pottering around the antique shops in Lewes.

Getting to us is easy, we are 35minutes drive from Gatwick Airport and an hour south of London Bridge Station by train. We are happy to consider a car swap and can arrange a taxi from either the airport or train station.
