Johnston Gardens are a 5 minute stroll
Shops, Hotels and coffee shops in the neighbourhood. The Chester and Malmaison Hotels are a 10 minute stroll away. More casual pub food is available in the Palm Court which is even closer (5 minutes walk). There are also small supermarkets and a fish shop within 5 minutes walk
Royal Deeside with its stunning scenery and castles is a scenic drive. Stop at the popular town of Ballater and then head to Balmoral Castle, King Charles's Scottish home (about an hour and a half away). Banchory is another popular town en route
Aberdeen is a vibrant, prosperous city with a wide range of restaurants, bars and nightlife. It has many beautiful old granite buildings, an Art Gallery and a Theatre.
The coastline has many quaint fishing villages. Head south to the fishing villages of Stonehaven and Johnshaven and north to the moray coast for sandy beaches (Lossiemouth and Spey Bay are favourites)
There is a wealth of outdoor activities in the surrounding countryside including championship golf courses, hill walking, mountain biking and fishing.
