Bolsena Lake is perfect for water sports, such as swimming, windsurfing, kayaking. Our place is suitable for visiting typical town in the centre of Italy and the area is full of thermal springs. Bolsena is a stop on the famous Francigena route for trekking lovers. Daily trip to Rome in less 2 hours (by car+train). Interesting places easily reachable driving are: Orvieto 30 minutes, Civita di Bagnoregio 20 min, Viterbo with Palazzo dei Papi 40 min, Montefiascone 20 min, Capodimonte half an hour, Marta 30 min.
Some suggestions for longer daily trips: Val d'Orcia. Driving along the charming valley you can reach Bagno Vignoni (thermal spring), Montalcino (famous Brunello wine), Pienza (pecorino cheese), San Quirico d'Orcia.
Pitigliano (the small Jerusalem) and Saturnia thermal area. Sovana and Sorano (Vie Cave).
Monte Argentario and Orbetello by the sea. Orbetello lagoon ( flamingos), Feniglia beach, Capalbio, Vulci (Etrurian archaeological site), Tuscania, Tarquinia.
Bagni San Filippo (one hour driving distance) with free thermal springs, some hot water pools inside a woodland. One of the best spot for us! Do not miss Radicofani
Sant'Angelo (VT) 30 min. A particulat village with painted houses of cartoons theme.
Bomarzo 45 min with its Monster Park, and Vitorchiano with a Moai outside of Easter Island.
