Cold Spring, aptly named by General George Washington when stopping in the Hudson Valley for a drink of water, is a quintessential Hudson Valley village, nestled on the Hudson across form West Point NY and the United States Military Academy. Our house is walking distance to Main Street, which features, shops, restaurants and more. We're also walking distance to the train station, a direct line into Grand Central Station in New York City on the Metro North, only 40 miles away. The town just a few miles to the north is Beacon, with even more shops and restaurants and the world famous DIA museum. Our backyard is the beginning of Hudson Highlands State Park, renowned for hiking trails, including the infamous Breakneck Ridge Trail.
