My husband and I are a retired couple in our mid-60s. Jim was a financial officer in nonprofit organizations. Anne managed communications for a global health institute at a local university. We love living on San Francisco Bay, sitting on our patio and watching the sunset.
We enjoy theatre, books, music and travel of all kinds.
Our dream is a long-term exchange in Paris, Amsterdam or another European city so that we can experience living in Europe.
Our condo association prohibits stays of less than 30 days, so please, only requests for a stay of 30 days or more.

Beskrivelse af vores byttebolig
Our lovely condominium is on San Francisco Bay, across the street from a beach with views of the San Francisco skyline. It is spacious and light with a large, open living room/dining room area, kitchen, two bedrooms and two bathrooms. One bathroom has a shower and the other has tub with shower. We use the second bedroom as a den, but it has a pull-out sleeper for guests. It is on the first floor of a four-story building.
You will love sitting on our spacious patio to enjoy the sun or the sunset. We also have a grill and table and chairs for eating al fresco.

Alameda is an island community, friendly and safe, with a quaint downtown and other shopping areas nearby. Plenty of restaurants here and also convenient to Oakland, Berkeley and San Francisco. The beach is across the street and there is a nice park just down the street. There you can rent kayaks, paddle boards, wind surfing gear and more. Even with all the nearby activity, it is generally quiet.
San Francisco is just a short drive or bus ride away. The bus stop is about a five-minute walk.
Lake Tahoe, the Napa Valley and Monterey/Big Sur are all within a two to three hour drive.
