We really enjoyed our week's stay in Jane and Robin's peaceful, comfortable home. It's surrounded by beautiful countryside (great for walks) but also within easy reach of wonderful places worth a visit - Bath, Bristol, Wells, Frome, Chepstow to name just some. We were made to feel welcome and a delicious home-made cake was waiting for us on our arrival. Altogether a lovely, relaxing week. Thank you, Jane and Robin.
Jane and Robin's home is lovely. Comfortable and everything provided to ensure a lovely exchange. Fabulous garden. Communications were first rate and we enjoyed ourselves very much indeed. The home is in a quiet rural location, but the busy city of Bristol is close by and easily accessible by public transport. We wish our partners well for the future.
Home exchange in North Somerset
Jane and Robin have a very comfortable well equipped home with a lovely garden and we enjoyed sitting in the dining area watching the birds feeding. It's a great base for exploring Bristol, Bath, Somerset and Dorset. We enjoyed walking on Dundry hillside, visiting Stourhead and Laycock Abbey National Trust properties, Bristol harbourside, Wells and family in Bath. That was about all we could manage in a week but there's many more things to see and do in this area. Thanks again Jane and Robin
Excellent stay in North Somerset
A very successful exchange in Jane and Robin's lovely home. Everything was perfect. So much to see and do in the area and a delight to return to their extremely comfortable home at the end of a busy day.
A comfortable home in a lovely setting
We are very appreciative of all the efforts Jane and Robin took to make our first UK visit so rich and enjoyable. Their home provided a light filled, immaculate and comfortable base to explore the many attractions in the area. We also enjoyed their tranquil garden at the end of our day trips. Use of their passes to historical homes etc. further enhanced our stay. Communication both before and throughout our stay was excellent as was the library of resources provided to highlight nearby options. While North Americans may find driving requires focused attention, it is rewarded by easy access to National Trust properties, parks, small towns and the coast. The vibrant city of Bristol is also worth a visit and public transport is recommended. We enjoyed meeting Robin and Jane and this exchange exceeded our expectations. Thank you!
Enjoyable exchange
The house was beautiful and very clean. Nice walks and much to visit. We enjoyed Cheddar Caves, Bristol Museum, Berkely Castle and SS Great Britain. Thank you Jane and Robin.
We really enjoyed our stay in Jane &Robins very comfortable home. We were luck enough to have had good weather and could enjoy sitting on the patio and admiring their beautiful garden. The house is a very short distance from both Bristol airport and city and also very close to the Cotswolds which was a beautiful area to visit. Lots of great places to eat in the locality and lots of lovely walks close by. Robin & Jane has left lots of useful information in relation to the house and also places to walk and visit. Would highly recommend an exchange with Robin & Jane
Could have stayed so much longer...
Loved swapping with Jane and Robin, they were warm and friendly and even gave my husband Dermot dinner when he was passing through a few months earlier! Lovely to deal with. The house was if anything, nicer than in the pictures as their garden is beautiful. Had everything we needed, good cooking space (we like to cook). Enjoyed nearness to Bristol. Could have easily enjoyed another few weeks there.
a wonderful exchange
Our exchange with Jane and Robin from Dundry was a great experience that started long before the trip. We got lots of useful information and tips about Dundry and it's wonderful surroundings: the walks, suggestions for tours and information about the beautiful cultural heritage of the country. The house is a beautiful spacious old monument with all comfort and a wonderful garden to enjoy as well. Everything was well organised, we had good contact about the practical things. Even during our stay we shared some experiences. Jane and Robin, we are grateful for all you have taken care of and we keep very good memories of this wonderful exchange.
A lovely country cottage
We really enjoyed our weeklong break in this delightful Somerset cottage and were sorry to leave. Jane & Robin are excellent hosts and did everything they could to ensure we had a pleasant stay. Although set in the heart of the countryside they are a very short drive from Bristol and Bath, so an ideal location. We would certainly consider another exchange with them and have no hesitation in recommending you do, too.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Jane and Robin's home. It is a comfortable, spacious house with a lovely garden with great views - all the way to the Clifton suspension bridge. The local village pub is very good and has a beer garden. Dundry is an excellent base for exploring Somerset's many attractions and beautiful countryside. Bristol and Bath are very near and easy to access. Communication was very good and effective with Jane and Robin. Many thanks for initiating this really enjoyable exchange.
Great exchange! Jane and Robin’s home is charming and comfortable. Their garden seating area is perfect for relaxing with a glass of wine after exploring the many attractions of the area. Dundry is a lovely wee village. Pulled pork bbq sandwich in the Beer Garden at the Dundry Inn not to be missed. Thank you, Jane and Robin.

Great base for Bristol
Jane and Robin’s house made an excellent base for visiting the area. Access to Bristol was easy and we were surprised how close we were to Tyntersfield and the coast. The Inn at Dundry provided good take away choices but we did not eat in due to Covid. We particularly recommend visiting SS Great Britain and walking from there along the quay and up to the city. Jane and Robin’s house was easy to settle into, and the garden is a delight. Don’t miss the view to the Clifton Bridge from the top of the garden.
What a great house exchange
We had a great time visiting Wells, Stonehenge, Bath, Bristol, Cheddar and much more. We spent loads of time in the garden area, it is such a nice view from there, and the house was lovely too. Our absolutely favorite was the Cheddar Gorge walk paths. You can park for free at Black Rock car park and join the free walks from there. It is a circular walk so you can start at either side. Views from the top are amazing! Thanks for letting us taking our little dog with us, we all had a wonderful time.
