• Excellent location and wonderful wildlife

  A very comfortable home just a 10 minute walk to a wonderful beach with a tavern, convenience store and take out fish and chips. Other amenities close by. Many sites to see around Townsville and the hosts provided an in-depth booklet with valuable information on where to go and what to see. The highlight was a ferry ride to Magnetic Island where we spent the day snorkelling.

  We had an arrangement of mutual hospitality . First we was staying at Bob & Bevs home in Townsville in July 2018. Bev was away in the period we was there. In the planning period we often communicated on mail. Bob was very helpful with advice for the flights and he have a lot of travel experience. He picked us up at the airport and guided us around the area. Their home and the neighborhood is very nice. We didn’t miss anything. We was four people and had two double bedrooms with separate bathrooms . We had some really nice daytrips to Crystal Creek , Magnetic Island ,and to Great Barrier Rief where we where snorkeling. On the departure Bob followed us to the airport . In 2019 Bob & Bev was traveling in Norway in we was happy to host them in our house. They are both very loving , wise and respectful people. We think of them as friends!

  This was a hosted home exchange. Bob and Bev took excellent care of us, feeding us and taking us places and sharing their knowledge of Australia with us. It was a most valuable experience. Our hosts were very pleasant, caring, and sharing people. We learned so much from them, which we could have never learned on our own. Genuine Aussies!
