We were even closer than expected to the many attractions of the Peak District: stunning countryside, interesting towns and historical sites. Communication was good and plenty of information provided. And of course we returned to a well looked after home.

A good location to explore all the Peak District of Derbyshire with other walking nearer to the house. The big town of Chesterfield is nearby with a huge market and good shops. There are several swimming pools nearby including a fabulous open air community run one in Hathersage where we went twice - as it so sunny we had a lovely time. There is a very private garden to sit at the house and several stately houses nearby including the National Trust house called Hardwick, also Hadden Hall and the large Chatsworth House. We went to Bakewell on market day, Monday, it was very busy and lively.

Quiet suburb, once a village. Sunny S facing private garden, quiet cul-de-sac with off road parking. 2 bedrooms, one bathroom, two toilets, two reception rooms (each with TV) dining kitchen, easy access to south facing, quiet garden Nearest food shop half a mile away. 6 miles from M1. Excellent location for Peak District National Park, beautiful scenery and lovely rural walks, dramatic edges and hills, more gentle trails on disused railway lines with cycle hire. Chatsworth, Haddon and Hardwick Hall are close by. Nottingham, Derby and Sheffield easily accessible. Yorkshire Sculpture Park, Hepworth and Moore museums one hour away. Local towns worth a visit, Eyam, Bakewell, Matlock and Cromford. Choice of supermarkets 2 miles away. Busy market town, lots of cafe's, cinema, museum and theatre.

It is a 30 minute walk(with hill) to the local Spar shop, 5 mins in the car. A park, playground and walk around 2 ponds at the shops and a vegetarian restaurant. Other walks close by.
