From our house it is a very short walk to restaurants and pubs, nice little shops, supermarkets, take away food shops ( for example italian, chinese, indonesian, indian,). The neighbourhood is known by the Amsterdam School architecture from the beginning of the twentieth century. There are boats for rent at the canal side at the end of the street. The Museum area, including the Concertbuilding and the old historic center is easily reached as well by walking, biking or by tram.
