Mine is a modest, newly renovated, three bedroom home in a lovely quiet street, opposite a pretty reserve in Havelock North, Hawkes Bay. At the end of the street there is a general store and the village is just over a kilometer away. Here you will find a variety of boutique style shops, a supermarket, lots of outdoor cafes, several banks and postal facilities, a library,
cinema complex, swimming pool complex, churches etc.


Havelock North is in the east of the North Island of New Zealand between the twin cities of Hastings and Napier. Both are Art Deco in architectural style and Napier is at the coast. Both cities can be reached within 15-20minutes. Havelock North was voted "Loveliest Village in New Zealand in October 2017"

This is the wine region. There are many wineries with lovely dining opportunities.

The world renowned Cape Kidnappers golf course is nearby.

In February each year, the Art Deco Festival is on in the Napier/Hastings area. This is a world renowned event and all local accommodation is booked out from year to year. It's a great opportunity for exchangers to participate without the cost of accommodation which is at a premium, or fully booked, at that time. It is usually around the third week in February.
