Franco and Louise own an amazing house in Sanseplocro. It is next to a romantic disused train station which was a favourite photo location for our daughters. The house is huge ! We enjoyed the balcony overlooking the station. Ideal for sunset. The bedrooms were quiet with lovely views. It's cool inside even in the blistering August heat. The cats at first cautious were soon sitting on our laps purring ! The house is located just outside the town walls with the center being only a 5 min walk away. We visited in the summer window of opportunity during this year of Covid ! The town itself seemed to be less discovered than other towns in Toscana which meant fewer crowds and a feeling that you were witnessing normal life rather than a tourist trap. Franco and Louise left us lots of good tips for local food and wine. We especially enjoyed the local baker, pasta maker and Steff's wine bar ! The house is ideally located for exploring the local hilltop villages as well as nearby cities. We were happy to meet their son Alex who took us out for a lovely meal. Our stay was a really enjoyable, restful break in this strange year of Covid which we are very grateful for. Franco and Louise looked after our house very well and we would recommend swapping with them.
