Hi we are Chris (62) and Anette (58). We are both German. We love to travel and feel that exchanging homes is the best way to get to know a different country or location. We are experienced exchanger (years 1998-2006) and decided to join the fun again as we no longer have children with own plans in the house. We love theaters, pubs, museums, restaurants, like to walk, row, cycle and swim and enjoy a leisurely time with books and games as well.

Great spot in the centre of Maastricht!
We enjoyed our stay in the home of Anette and Chris very much. Great place to stay, the city centre is on walking distance. We also enjoyed the walking and cycling in the region around Maastricht. Although we did not cook ourselves, the kitchen is well equiped for it. We slept well on the very good bed, and the bathroom has a lot of space. The communication between us and Chris and Anette was positive and helpfull.

Our modern two storey apartment is on the top of an restored/refurbished old warehouse on the riverside of the Havel river. It can be reached by the lift, however the open Gallery bedroom is reached via an internal staircase only. It has a bathroom on every level (one with a walk-in shower and one with a bath), a large kitchen-dinning-living room, a guest/TV-room, and a small extra room with a workplace. The old town of Berlin-Spandau is in walking distance and city of Berlin can easily reached by public transport within 30 minutes.

Our neighborhood is quiet as most rooms face the river, however behind the house, there is building site that does at the moment produce some noise during working hours. Our apartment is facing the riverside. You can walk along the river to the old town of Berlin Spandau and the Spandau Zitadelle. Berlin with all its sites, restaurants, museums, theatres can be reached from there via U-Bahn, S-Bahn an regional trains, that run very frequently. There is also a bus running to Spandau Station every 5-10 minutes.
