Dear homelinker, we are parents of 2 adult daughters and 1 adult son and travel as a couple. Our grown up daughters and our son live in their own flats and travel with their partners without us parents. Freiburg im Breisgau is No. 3 of the "lonely planets Best in Travel 2022 "charts of the most attractivst city holiday destinations of the world... read, recognize and enjoy it. When you want to exchange your home with ours in the nearer future, contact us ! Freiburg and it´s sourroundings are a "feeling of life". We love to live here ! We have exchanged homes enthusiastically since 2000. We have two bicycles , which you can use.

Looking for an exchange (our no. 51)
at the seaside (we also like islands) in the mountains (worldwide...for example Alps, Bayrischer-, Bregenzer-wald, Elbsandstein- , Fichtel- gebirge, Kärnten or similar), Great Britain, Irland, Scotland, Island, or interesting Cities ( Rom, Paris, London, Dublin, Stockholm, Kopenhagen, Salzburg, Wien, Prag, Hamburg, Berlin, Magdeburg, Warsow.... or similar) or near lake/s to swim in August 2024. We are open for other periods, which suits for us all. Our children are adult und we travel without them; as a couple.
We are well travelled and we will take care for your home, as if it would be our own. Freiburg im Breisgau ("the green City" with mountains, lakes, nice cafes, beergardens, shops, museums and other culture...) is the No. 3 of the attractivst cities in the world, you can visit, so promoted in the »Lonely Planet's Best in Travel 2022« charts. We have enough information material (bike/walking guides and maps from our region...blackwood forest, Kaiserstuhl, Swiss, Alsace).
The best option for transport in Freiburg is a bicycle. You can use here our 2 bikes (7 gears, full functionable incl. light and brakes)...could we also use 2 bicycles of your family in your region ? www.visit.freiburg.de; www.blackforest-tourism.com; www.europapark.de (pleasurepark); www.museumspass.com; www.expo 2010.freiburg.de.
Cheap flight-connections with low-budget Airlines (Easyjet, Ryanair or Germanwings) to Zürich (CH), Basel-Mulhouse (CH/F), Karlsruhe-Baden, Stuttgart, Memmingen, Friedrichshafen or Zürich (CH).

in our neighbourhood live many families with parents older than 50 , it´s very quiet, a natural reservation area, two bathing lakes (free admission) and the Zoo Mundenhof (free admission, when you come without a car) with beergarden (in 5 - 10 minutes with our two womenbicycles to reach, both 7 - 8 gears , 1 with a big basket for your lugagge. If you want to go the Freiburger pedestrian zone (with the most touristic highlights of Freiburg) you drive with our two bicycles besides the river Dreisam in 20 minutes....you mustn´t cross any street with cars and dont need an expensive parking place in the center of town, it´s faster by bicycle to get there, than by car, 1 full line supermarket, 1 bio supermarket, 1 Lidl supermarket, 1 post office, 2 automatic teller machines, 4 nearby restaurants (2 Italian, 1 Chinese, 1 Vegan) and 3 kebab and falaffel shops 1 icecream parlor, 2 bathing lakes (Dietenbachsee and Opfinger "Baggersee") all in walking distance to our house.

visit.freiburg.de, Europapark, Titisee, Straßburg, Basel, Colmar, Riquewihr, Hochkönigsburg, Elsass, Vogesen, Bodensee, Baden-Baden, Triberger Wasserfälle, Vogtsbauernhöfe, Schloss Ettenbühl, it´s a good option for you to exchange homes with us in July, during the "Zeltmusikfestival Freiburg" besides animalpark Mundenhof, you can reach the fesival in five minutes from our house by bicycle.
