With its well equipped kitchen, spacious dining area and separate sitting room with high ceilings and original features, our home is a quiet haven to relax in after a busy day visiting the many attractions of Edinburgh. It is located in a vibrant artistic neighbourhood and the nearby Lyon and Turnbull auction rooms stage regular fine art, antique and jewellery sales. For a change of pace the secret gardens of Edinburgh are easily accessed making it a city for all seasons.
10 minute walk takes you to Mansfield Traquair ( circa 1890) known locally as Edinburgh's Sistine Chapel because it houses the exquisite murals of Phoebe Traquair. When not used as a wedding venue for bespoke functions Mansfield is open to the public and is well worth viewing.
Having made our made our exchange arrangements for 2024 we are now looking to make exchange arrangements for 2025

Our apartment is located within a diverse, vibrant artistic community with a number of artisan shops and cafes nearby.
It is well located for arrival by train or by tram if coming directly from the airport, a 5 mins walk to the apartment
It is however not easy for car parking being located in the city centre but we have a FAQ information pack giving the parking options that are available for those who will be driving to the apartment. Guests have found the apartment to be very comfortable, quiet and very safe. Many of the attractions of Edinburgh are within walking distance of the apartment and there is very good public transport 5 minutes from the flat.

From our Flat, the adventure to visit some of the best cafes, eateries, and pubs starts across the street!
We are also a short walk away from all the main sites in Edinburgh and a great base for short walks up Calton Hill, to the Botanics Gardens, the National Portrait Galleries and shops.
Just 250m in the other direction takes you to the Playhouse Theatre and the Omni Centre plus excellent bus services to all other parts of Edinburgh.
