Our sunny north facing apartment is located in Central Auckland and is conveniently positioned for easy access to the city (the CBD is 15 minutes walk), universities and library, theatres, movies, restaurants, the newly upgraded waterfront precinct (15 minutes walk), and Ponsonby Road with its restaurants and shops (5 - 10 minutes walk). City link buses stop right outside our building/front door. There is also motorway access close by, so it is an easy place to navigate from - either around the city or beyond (there are a variety of beaches surrounding Auckland or further afield, and 4 - 5 hours south there is skiing. The apartment itself is 159 sq meters (including the balcony), is just over 8 years old, located on the third floor, and is sunny and warm (please note that the Google Earth map on this site places the apartment on the wrong side of the building; our apartment faces College Hill, not Runnell Street). It is secure and carparking for two cars in the basement. The complex itself is very friendly, and with a lovely cafe/restaurant (Marcello's but about to be renamed as Cafe 28) on the ground floor. There is a big supermarket just a few steps down the road, and just beyond that, Victoria Park (and refurbished Victoria Park Market with restaurants and shops). We love the close proximity to the waterfront and the all round convenience.
