We are retired from university and looking for new places to explore. We have done many exchanges in Europe and have enjoyed immersing ourselves in other cultures. We enjoy exploring the theater, music, museums, galleries, historic sites, architecture, gardens, cuisine and cinema of other cultures. Mitch plays classical guitar and may bring his guitar with him. I am an avid reader and volunteer for nonprofit organizations, including a refugee resettlement organization and animal welfare group. Our 29-year old daughter sometimes sometimes travels with us.

We had a wonderful exchange in Portsmouth NH. A well equipped, comfortable home in a nice neighbourhood, close to all amenities in a lovely town. We had a number of day trips to other coastal towns, beaches and longer stays further afield in the NH lakes region and in Boston. Our exchange partners were incredibly warm and helpful, and provided lots of useful information and advice. We felt very comfortable leaving them to look after our home and returned to find everything very clean and as we left it. It was also ideal to be able to care for each others' pet cats! A very successful and happy swap!

Settled in 1623, Portsmouth is known for its fine restaurants, museums, shopping, theater, film, music festivals and family-friendly activities and frequently lands on "best places to live" lists. Beaches nearby; whale watching, boating, kayaking and more. House has 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, sun room, den with pull-out couch and large yard. Located in nice residential neighborhood within easy walking distance to downtown, parks and public pool. Bike to the beach. We love our neighborhood and have lived here for 30 years. It's filled with Victorian and "New Englander" style homes, plus historic Colonial era houses. Our home is within easy walking distance to downtown shops, award-winning restaurants, theater, cinema, music venues, pharmacies, a grocery store and several parks. Our neighbors are very friendly and always ready to answer your questions or help out if needed!
