Our home is located in Oberkirch, a romantic town at the edge of the Black Forest in SW Germany. The little town of 20,000 inhabitants offers all shops you need and more, the centre is just in 15 min walking distance. In the back of the house are farmland and vineyards.
You may start hiking tours direct from home or walk through marvelous vineyards. With 20min walk you have beautiful views over Rhine Valley to Strasbourg and Vosges, another 5 min and you are in the forest. There are signed paths to view points, lakes, castles and ruins, water falls, water mills and many popular restaurants with local food.
Our region offers also cultural attractions like Festspielhaus Baden-Baden (famous international Concert hall), Europa Park (fun park), Opera du Rhine in Strasbourg (25km) and other facilities like the Caracalla therme (Spa) in Baden-Baden (40km), diverse festivals (wine festivals, strawberry and cherry festival) , excellent restaurants.
