The building is owned by a cooperative (we're all members) - the atmosphere is friendly and relaxed, there are many families with children. The parc with playgrounds, a "plansche" (a water playground for children) and a friendly beer garden is around the corner. A larger parc area with a lake (boat rental) can be reached in ten minutes on the bike. 200 m to the next bus stop (connects to Tegel airport and to underground line 8), to the underground (Rehberge, line 6) 8 minutes walk. 15 minutes walk to the next cinema (Alhambra), lots of bars and restaurants at the main road (Müllerstraße). The one (minor) drawback is the approach path of Tegel airport - depending on the weather conditions it can sometimes be a bit noisy (during the day, planes don't go 23.00 to 6.00).
