It was very good to meet you and add to the very helpful amount of information you left in the house. Richmond is a lovely town to explore on foot with walks easily accessible from the town and interesting Georgian buildings. The Georgian Theatre is a gem and we had a great wee tour of it. There are many interesting places to visit nearby.. Leyburn, Reeth, the Arkengarthdale valley, Northallerton, Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal, to name a few amongst many. If you love beautiful countryside, lovely historic towns and villages and a warm, cosy and welcoming home this could be for you!

We had such a lovely time in Richmond at Susan and Ralph's house. Susan went out of her way to make us feel welcome and their guide book was in-depth with some great suggestions. Richmond is a beautiful historic town and there are many things to do for families and/or couples in the local area and beyond. The house itself is fantastic - we felt so at home. We miss the lovely view from the master bedroom! Thank you for such a wonderful house swap and for looking after our house so well.

We’ve had the loveliest time in Susan and Ralph’s house. Great home and surroundings. Our hosts were super friendly and we felt very welkome with our then 1,5 yo daughter. Great family to exchange with!

Great exchange in a lovely home with a beautiful cute garden in North Yorkshire. Richmond is a pretty town and with the A1 on its doorstep was easy to visit local villages/towns, National Trust, Art Centres, Cinemas, spas and see the stunning landscape. The family made us very welcome with home bake cakes, bread and a meal/milk in the fridge. The same on our return home it was left well cared for, clean, all in order and with a meal and milk/bread etc. making it a lot more restful when we ended our drive. Everything you provided from homemade cake to walking maps helped us make the most of our few days away. Thank you again for enabling us to stay in such a great part of the country and in such a brilliant house.

We spent two great weeks in Susan and Ralph's cozy house. We felt immediately at home (with a self-made cake as a welcome) found everything we needed especially in their well equipped kitchen and organized household and enjoyed the great view westwards and the nice garden. There was also plenty of maps/information material for things to do. Beautiful Richmond is well located to visit castles, monasteries and churches in Yorkshire besides roman places such as Hadrian's wall. The shore and York can also be reached easily. The Yorkshire dales and nearby valleys are good for hiking, biking or fishing. Even the Lake District could be reached for a day trip. Returned home, Susan and Ralph with the kids had left our house perfectly.
