Our large historic home is in Axminster, home of the famous carpets and 1 min walk from the River Cottage canteen - renowned through TV celebrity chef Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall. Just 5 mins by car (10 by bus) is the idyllic jurassic coastal resort of Lyme Regis - location for many period dramas. The beautiful regency seaside town of Sidmouth is just 30 mins away, as is the historic city of Exeter. A 3 minute walk to the station and regular trains into London Waterloo (just over 2 1/2 hrs) This house is in a fabulous position for all the above and so much more!!

The patio and large garden room offer informal dining and relaxing seating area, fab for the Sunday papers! Our 'cinema/tv' room is great to lose yourself in a film with a giant pull down screen for projector and a 36" screen TV.
There are further sleeping options on the ground floor with two bed settees in the study and two single beds in the cinema room - so the house has potential to sleep 14 people.
