We spent 2 weeks of our 3 week Canada trip in the house of the Currie family. The contact was very good, already before the trip. They were very flexible in planning and offered us also their car, canoes and bikes for making trips. Great for us to discover Parc Gatineau and even 2 nights in National Parc Papineau Labelle. There was plenty of information available in the house for hike, bike and canoe camping trips. Maps and written documention with al kinds of suggestions. Far too much to do in two weeks. They left a meal for us upon our arrival in the evening. It was great spending time in their spacious house with nice garden, where the squirrels walk around the tree when you sit outside. Even during our exchange they provided us with nice suggestions for trips. Westboro is a calm neighborhoud, but on 30 minutes nice bike ride to downtown Ottawa. We enjoyed the Westboro beach at 10 minutes distance and the supermarkets, trendy shops and (rooftop) restaurants nearby. We had a wonderful time and thank Johanna and Stuart very much for their efforts to make our holiday so comfortable and pleasant. In the short time we were in contact it felt like we know each other for a long time. We will for sure stay in contact. This Canada experience will be one to remember!
