- Our neighbourhood, Deer Run, is a quiet suburb with shops, restaurants and public transit. It is nestled in Fish Creek Provincial Park which abounds with nature trails for walking and cycling most of the year; or shoe shoeing and cross country skiing in the winter. It also includes a small lake, Sikome, which is less than 4 KMs from the house. We back on to a field in the park adjacent to the Bow River which is renowned for fly fishing.
- The local mall area which is 3 KMs away meets all of the necessities. It includes two supermarkets, a department store, several restaurants, two pubs and various other local services. There is a small mall 1.5KMs away.
