We are a retired couple in our 60's. We have 3 adult children two of whom live in Australia. Our youngest daughter is a teacher in Melbourne, Our son is an engineer and lives with his wife and two children in South Australia. Our other daughter lives near us with her partner and new baby. We love to visit our children and especially our grandchildren in Australia and we love to meet new people along the way. We have a little yorkie called Beau who loves to play ball and is a very special member of the family. Beau is looked after by family and friends while we are away.

We had the most wonderful time staying in Monica and Sean's lovely home. Everything was spotlessly clean, the beds were comfortable and warm, and there was no shortage of hot water. There was so much to explore around the region, and we enjoyed a drink in the little pub just 100 m along the road. Ideally located for day trips to both Belfast and Dublin, and of course many towns along the coast. Would highly recommend checking out this area.

We spent a very relaxed week in Monica and Sean's home in Donore. Their home is most comfortable and spacious and was spotlessly clean. A focus of our time there was to visit the famous Neolithic World Heritage site at Newgrange and to discover that it is situated only three kilometers from their home was a bonus. Bikes were provided and we cycled to the famous beaches nearby at Bettystown and Laytown. Thank you Monica and Sean for facilitating a "no stress" exchange to a lovely rural part of our country. We live in a quiet neighbourhood on the outskirts of a small village. We have a mini-market, a take away, a church and a gastro pub. We live close to Newgrange and several other ancient historic sites. We are on a bus route to our nearest town Drogheda. We have wonderful friendly neighbours who are always on hand to help out with any problems.

Whether you're looking for rest and relaxation or a selection of outdoor activities you have found the correct location. We are within driving distance of several beautiful beaches, great mountain walks, forest trails and cycle paths. For history lovers we have Newgrange literally on our doorstep. Newgrange is a grand passage tomb built during the Neolithic period making it older than Stonehenge and the Egyptian pyramids.
We also have Oldbridge House which houses the Battle of the Boyne visitor centre. The Boyne estate is surrounded by acres of lush green fields and picnic areas where you can spend many hours relaxing while having a picnic with friends and family.

There was so much to explore around the region, and we enjoyed a drink in the little pub just 100 m along the road.
