Koeno (Dutch) and Heidi (German) met in 2009, during a pelgrimage through France and Spain. Altogether, we have four daughters and five grandchildren in Germany, and two sons with four grandchildren in The Netherlands. We like long distance walking, visiting musea and art galeries, music (active and receptive), reading, architecture, the buzz of cities and the silence of nature. As we are both retired, since 2021, we experience the richness of being flexible in planning.

Our cosy, comfortable 6 room apartment, 165 m2, is situated in Amsterdam Oud Zuid, a very quiet and popular area, built in the 1920-ies. Nice combination of antique furniture and modern art. Within 10-15 minutes walking distance from Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh Museum, Stedelijk Museum, Concertgebouw, Vondelpark, Beatrixpark, Albert Cuyp Market, Zuidermarkt (on Saturdays) and historical centre.
Many restaurants around, including simple and excellent ones. Public transport in all directions, just around the corner. But the best way to stroll around in Amsterdam is by bike.
From Schiphol Airport 10 minutes by train, followed by 5 minutes by tram or metro. Metrostation at 500 m.
A.o. living, dining room, study, kitchen, balcony with view on garden and magnificent trees. Upstairs: master bedroom (bed 1,40 wide); single spare room, large bathroom.
The apartment is situated on the 3d floor (no elevator).
Please no little children, but teenagers are welcome.

Amsterdam Oud Zuid is a very beloved part of town. Concertgebouw, Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh Museum and Stedelijk Museum are around the corner, on 15 minutes walking distance of our home. Pulblic transport in all directions. Many restaurants around, and nice shopping streets. Within 15 minutes walking you are in the middle of the historic citycenter, the Albert Cuyp Market. Within 5 minutes in De Pijp, another popular district.
Nevertheless, our apartment, a listed monument, built in the early 1920's, is very quiet. It is on the 3rd floor (no elevator). It feels like a privilege living here.
