Ours is a modern, recently renovated second floor apartment situated in the heart of an old district of central Paris. The street itself is an old cobbled courtyard, historically important, since it was originally the site of stables for King Louis XIV, hence the street name (Ecuries = Stables).

Whilst the street is almost traffic-free, the area itself is lively and multi-ethnic with a very wide range of shops and restaurants to suit all tastes (French, Italian, American, Greek, Indian, Kurdish, Syrian). There are also restaurants at the entrance to the Cour (which are very popular in the summer months) including the Brasserie "Flo" (one of the most famous old "Brasseries" in Paris).

We are in a very central location: the Marais district, Paris Opera House, Notre Dame, the Seine are all within walking distance and the nearest Metro station (Strasbourg St Denis) which is just a few minutes walk from the apartment, has excellent direct links to every part of the city.

The accommodation is ideal for up to 4 people, with a large double bedroom and a second study/bedroom which will also sleep 2 (a luxury folding double bed).
The kitchen is new and fully equipped and includes all necessary cooking and dining accessories.
The lounge has sliding glass doors which give access to a good-sized balcony which, weather permitting, can be used for evening dining.

There is also a full-time "concierge" on the ground floor of the building who can provide assistance if required (although her English is limited).
