Rouen is a beautiful city well worth a visit. To explore the neighborhood, we walked the 6 km, down and back up. But this is also very possible by bus because it stops right in front of the park. We cycled along the Seine for a while, and then you see a beautiful landscape, especially in spring. But the immediate vicinity, towards St. Martin de Viviers, is also good for cycling or walking. We will definitely visit Normandy again in the fall for the famous ciders and Camembert. We thank Hubert and Dolores for their hospitality (and the delicious quiche) and Nathalie for her charm during the house tour.

This was only our 2nd exchange and it was wonderful! You could have travelled the world without leaving the house....thank you Hubert et Dolores for the swap. The local area is beautiful, quiet but lots of amenities within 10 minutes. We particularly enjoyed the ebikes and saw much more of the local countryside than had we travelled by car....please keep in touch if you ever want to return to Spain...Stevie y Sonja

Hello Hubert and Dolres - it has only taken me a year to find out how to post this response! We thoroughly enjoyed our time in your really beautiful, unique home and its extensive garden and patios. You gave us the opportunity to both relax in a wonderful setting and explore Normandy. The gated community was a wonderful area to walk with lots to see and enjoy. A car is needed to visit the many attractions of Normandy but we did catch a bus into Rouen that runs regularly from quite close to the house. We had a fabulous time. Thanks.
