Comfortable five-bedroom town house in charming Alencon, Normandy, close to the historic town center’s shops, conveniences and bustling weekend market.
We’re 45 minutes from Le Mans and its famous auto-racing circuit, an hour from the Atlantic and D-Day beaches, and two hours from Paris. Brittany, the spectacular Mont Saint-Michel, and the Loire Valley’s chateaux and wineries are all a couple of hours drive away.
The ground floor of our spacious house, which we have lovingly restored and decorated since we moved in four years ago, has a large and luminous sitting room with a working fire place, and a dining room and fully equipped kitchen that back onto the garden, plus a handy utility room with washer and dryer.
The large, enclosed garden with lush lawns has a ping-pong table, children’s swings and hooks for hammocks. It’s a great place to entertain friends and family, and barbecue.
The first-floor parental suite has a giant king-size bed, oak floors, a large walk-in dresser, a WC and a comfortable bathroom with his-and-her sinks, shower and a big bath. Also on this floor: a cosy kids’ bedroom with a single bed and a connecting door to the parental suite.
The second floor has two large bedrooms, a WC, and a third bedroom with a sink and shower.
