We're Pierre and Delphine, a university professor and a teacher. We're in our late 40's and we have two daughters (19 years and 22 years old). They're serious and well-mannered so there's no problem when we travel and exchange home. We live in Brittany since 2007 and we're non-smoker.
We love traveling, discovering different cultures & places and living as locals. Pierre loves science, taking pictures and riding his bike. Delphine is fond of cooking, reading and she loves flea markets and design & interior decoration. Our elder daughter spends her free time drawing, watching Korean movies and listening Korean pop-music. Our younger daughter loves drawing, reading and animals (especially birds).
We swap our home since 2017 but with another website (Denmark, California, Belgium, Berlin, Paris...).

Degisim için önerdigimiz ev hakkinda
We live in Rennes, the capital of Brittany (France north-west part), where there are a strong cultural identity (Celtic culture) and beautiful natural landscapes.
Our home is a stone town-house of 130 m2 (1,350 sqft) with a lot of light and a small garden around. Most of the windows are south and west facing. The house was built in 1955 but entirely renovated in 2010.
On the ground floor, there are the entrance, a big kitchen/dining-room (very bright with windows looking at the garden), a big living-room (wood-burning stove, bookcase, TV & sofa, home office...) and a small bathroom (with shower & toilet). On the upper floor, there are the landing, 3 bedrooms (1 with double bed, 2 with single beds), a bathroom (with bathtub) and a separated toilet.
The house is old but we fully renovated the interior and gave it modern comfort and a nice interior design (with a "vintage" touch). We had the facade repainted in November 2017 (the house has now a nice brown color). Almost all the rooms have hardwood floors. We have a private parking place in our garden.
The historical city center is close : 5 minutes by car, 20 on foot, 15 by bus or bicycle.
--> We can let you use our bicycles if you want.
--> You can also use the piano and the guitars.
Our house is perfect for 4 but we can receive 5 people because we have a (good) extra mattress (90 x 190 cm) that we can put in the living room or in one of the bedrooms.

Semtimiz ve çevremiz hakkinda
Our house is in the city but in a residential area. We are in a quiet street near to all amenities (bakery, chemist's/drugstore, ATM/cash-point, grocery, butcher...). Most of our neighbours have a garden so the neighbourhood is green and pleasant.
Transports : the bus (bus stop: 200 meters from the house) takes you in 10-15 minutes to the city center or to Rennes train station. By train, you can go to PARIS in 1h30 (TGV / high-speed train) or 3h30 by car. You can also reach Rennes international airport (20 min. by car) or Nantes airport (1h15).
Rennes is a medium city (200 000 inhabitants) with a very nice historical center with beautiful old houses. It's also a modern city with a very good quality of life. In the rankings, Rennes is always one of the "Best French cities to live in". It's a big town but it's very green (park, trees, individual houses with garden). A lot of inhabitants get around by bike or foot.

The best tourist attractions in RENNES are :
The Medieval neighborhood, the Thabor gardens, the Marché des Lices (one of the most beautiful and big markets in France, where you can buy local specialities as seafood, fish, cider, crêpe...), the Palace of Brittany Parliament (17th century), the Saint-Pierre Cathedral, the Saint-Yves Chapel (15th century), Les Champs Libres (which join together the Brittany museum, the Rennes' central library and a Science center including a planetarium), the Museum of Fine Arts, the F.R.A.C. (public collections of contemporary art), La Criée (centre for contemporary art), the Gayeulles Park (100 hectares, with animals, swimming pool, indoor ice rink, places to have a picnic, to run, play tennis, football...), the Rennes Ecomuseum & Farm (a great place for children), the Saint-Georges swimming pool (with beautiful Art deco mosaics), the Dancing Museum...
BRITTANY is one of the most touristic and beautiful regions in France. From our home, it's easy to travel around: the city of Saint-Malo (1h by car), the famous Mont-Saint-Michel (1h), the city of Dinan (45 min.), the Gulf of Morbihan (1h30), the Paimpont forest (45 min.), the Vitré Castle (30 min.), the Pink Granite Coast (2h), the D-Day Landing beaches in Normandy (2h), the Châteaux of the Loire Valley (3h)...
You can go in just 1 hour to the sea (beautiful beaches of Saint-Malo, Cancale, etc.). It's also easy to travel by train or bus (to the sea, to the Mont-Saint-Michel, to Saint-Malo...).
HOW TO GET HERE :
Getting to our house is easy, no matter where you're coming from or how you travel.
You can come by car, by train (1h30 from Paris train station) or by plane. From abroad, it's easy to fly to Rennes or Nantes international airports (the closest ones) or to arrive at Paris airport and then take a direct train to Rennes or a direct flight Paris-Rennes.
