Degisim için önerdigimiz ev hakkinda
Recently updated home in a quiet residential neighbourhood, with a beautiful front garden & table/chairs for morning tea (no maintenance it has a water system) and lovely back porch with awning. Our home is close to park, tennis courts, beaches & downtown Vancouver with lots of walking, bicycle paths, Stanley Park, ocean swimming, paddle boarding, boat rentals, kayak rentals/classes, sailing clubs, water bikes and large outdoor pool. The north shore mountains with numerous hiking trails are not far away.
Tech: USB and charging units throughout the house. Mesh WiFi throughout with main receiver in TV room. Password is posted throughout the house.
Living room has large east facing picture window, original oak flooring with beautiful inlay, a thermostatically controlled gas fireplace, double recliner chair, large sofa + matching love seat, upright piano & a large smart TV with cable , streaming and Prime, PBC passport, etc.
Bright Kitchen with granite countertops, all mod cons. Use the spices etc.Dining room table seats 6 (expands to seat 10) and connects with the kitchen & living room. Glass French doors lead to a large west facing back porch with a Weber BBQ & an electric retractable awning & sun block extension and glass table for 6.
Bedrooms - Main floor bedroom has a queen bed with an en-suite sink. Blackout curtains, ceiling fan & air conditioner unit provide a sleep inducing environment. USB and plug-in charging unit by bedside. Second floor bedroom has a king sized bed with USB and plug in charging unit by bedside. Optional 3rd bedroom with firm kingsize bed with USB charging unit at bedside. All bedrooms have extra set of linen in room, space to put clothes away and large windows.
The main floor TV room / den has a large sofa recliner (seats four comfortably.) Each half has electronic controls to adjust recliner, lower back & neck support to watch 65" Smart TV with external sound bar with DVD & live streaming in considerable comfort. Rogers Shaw Blue Curve recording. Bose Bluetooth Soundlink to amplify cellphone music Small stationary bike available for those seeking fitness. USB and plug in charging unit and small tables on each side of the recliner.
Two full bathrooms (tub/shower, sink, toilet), one on each floor. Plenty of towels in each bathroom.
The laundry room (washer, dryer, large sink) is in the basement at the foot of the stairs off the Kitchen . (Note - our basement contains two tenanted suites - each suite has its own private entrance & they share our laundry facilities on assigned days. We email if alternate days are needed.There is a lock between main floor and garden level suites.
Fenced front garden with flagstone patio sitting area for coffee in the morning sunshine. Covered front porch with chairs and table.
Locked storage area under the back porch for your bicycle storage.
Easy street parking .

Kitsilano is a walkable community with many amenities. (See google map.) Lots of birds and wild life to observe (Eagles, Herons, Seals)
We live in quiet, friendly & safe neighbourhood with a delightful mix of gardens, trees & architecture that invites exploration on foot or bicycle.
Our front door is less than 100 yards from a lovely park (2 entire city blocks) containing 6 tennis courts, sport fields & a child playground.
We are 1.5 blocks away from city transit (transit pass allows extensive travel throughout the metropolitan area via bus, sky train, & sea bus).
We are 1.5 blocks away from a mid-sized grocery store (IGA). Pharmacy 2 stores down. Liquor Store 2 blocks away.
Lots of fresh produce grocery stores nearby (ethnic & Canadian). The Vancouver Public Library is a 10 minute walk.
We are 5.5 blocks from the shores of English Bay with lovely ocean & mountain views & roads that limit vehicular traffic to encourage walking, biking, or rollerblading. Stop off and eat in lots of restaurants. Our favourite is Cactus Club on the beach.
We have a biking paths in Vancouver Area map to help find routes. False Creek water taxis are a 40 minute walk/5 min drive (they go to 6 pick up / drop off spots around English Bay. Use it for fun or to go places.
One can walk or bike the "World's Longest Uinterrupted Sea Wall Pathway (28 kms) around Vancouver and Stanley Park. There are multiple places to rent bicycles / e-scooters on the path.
Beautiful Kits Beach and Spanish Banks are within easy walking distance of our home and encourage delightful contemplative walks in breathtaking scenery.
We are within easy walking distance of multiple ethnic restaurants, shops, & an impressive 137 meter long outdoor swimming pool plus more public tennis courts.

Vancouver is a very outdoorsy destination with lots of live theatre, jazz bars, theatre in the Park, Opera and Vancouver VSO in the mountains, and outdoor eating or beer tasting.
Eating out - Sushi, Vegan, Lebanese, Chinese, Greek, East Indian, Vietnamese, Japanese, Malaysian are all within a few blocks. A list of our preferences will be listed in our Welcome Folder. Library 5 blocks;
Local spots of interest => 8 min drive to Museum of Anthropology, 12 min drive to Granville Island, 8 min drive to UBC, 10 min drive to downtown Vancouver, 17 min drive to Science World, 20 min drive to Gastown, 20 min drive to Stanley Park, 20 min drive to Queen Elizabeth Park and Van Dusen Botanical Gardens on Oak St),
Other nearby attractions include ), Lynn Canyon (40 min) Cypress Bowl (38 min), Steveston Village (40 min), Chinatown, False Creek, Yaletown etc.
Grouse Mountain (40 min drive) has a gondola up, 2 grizzly bears in an enclosure, chainsaw carvers, movies, casual to fine dining, and one can walk up the Grouse Grind for free if able.
Suggested Trips:
Whistler is a world class year round resort destination & a 'must do' day trip - 1.75 hr drive, fabulous views, numerous hikes, 'Peak to Peak' cable car ride with bear sitings, lakes, boat rentals, bike rental+ rugged mountain biking.
Victoria is a quaint city on Vancouver Island and a great 1 or 2 day excursion - 3.5 hrs away (includes a fantastic 1.5 hr ferry ride through the Gulf Islands)
Gulf Islands are a fun way to spend the day and enjoy dinner on the ocean.
Seattle is a major American city - 3.25 hrs drive but beware of border delays when crossing into the USA.
The Okanagan Valley is worthy of a 2-3 day visit - Penticton is a 4.5 hr drive and features lots of wineries with wine tasting opportunities. The Myra Canyon Trestle Restoration provides a fabulous day on foot or bike.
Pacific Rim National Park (West coast of Vancouver Island) providess another 2-3 day visit worthy of consideration - Ucluelet on Vancouver Island West Coast is 4.75 hrs away & includes a lovely 1.5 hr ferry ride
Banff & Jasper National Parks are 'must see' but will need a few days - Lake Louise is a 8.25 hr drive away
In 2022 the many Cruise ships up Alaska will begin with pick up and drop off in Vancouver.

We are an adult home and not suited for children (it is not childproof). We would like the house to look just as we left it. One of us is VERY allergic to cats, & fur animals.
I prefer you do not use my Mother's Royal Dolton china dishes in the sideboard. There are many dishes in kitchen area.
We prefer eating is done in the kitchen/ dining room/ outside and the Den/ not in the living room.
We will leave a booklet outlining our house and equipment with who to call and a friendly neighbour to ask any questions you may have.
Relax and enjoy all that Vancouver has to offer.
Note: If Car exchange is used, it will incur a cost from our BC insurance plan to cover out of province drivers.
