We live in a leafy suburb, but the centre of Dundee is only a 15 minute walk away (or a 5 minute drive). Dundee is an old industrial city which has been revitalised with modern industry and it has the attractions of a modern vibrant small city. The city waterfront onto the Tay estuary is one of the best kept secrets in the UK - it is beautiful and full of attractions, including the new V&A Design Museum, Scott of the Antarctic's sailing ship Discovery and the Unicorn -the oldest British fight ship still afloat in Britain. Dundee is close to the Grampian Mountains, where you can walk, trek, climb or just stare at some of the most beautiful scenery in the UK. If you are a golfer there is no better place to stay - we are halfway between St Andrews and Carnoustie and there are probably 100 golf courses within 50 miles! The famous Edinburgh Festival, held annually in August, can be reached by train.
