Our house is situated in a conservation area and the neighbourhood is friendly and quiet. There are shops, coffee bars and popular local pubs and eateries nearby, including the Signalman and the Open House and it is a short walk to the Duke of York's Picture House, which claims to be the oldest cinema in the UK. There is also a market just down the road on Saturday mornings, where you can find local produce on sale as well as great coffee and pastries.

We are a short walk away from Preston Park which offers an array of recreational facilities within its 67 acres including eight tennis courts, three bowling greens, a cycle velodrome, two cricket fields, four football pitches, two basketball courts and plenty of pathways for running and jogging.

It is a 2 to 3 minute walk to a local train station that links to Brighton Station (1 stop). From Brighton, it's a 55-minute journey direct to London Victoria, with trains departing every 20 minutes.
