An active couple, recently retired (60+ years). We are looking for the experience of an extended stay in Europe.

Our home is situated in seaside suburb of Scarborough, a very quiet, scenic area on the northern outskirts of Brisbane.
We live in very pleasant surrounds and enjoy pleasant temperatures all year round.
The house is an open-styled, two-storied home, with spacious living areas inside and out.
Three (3) bedrooms. The king size beds in each of the two main bedrooms can be split into two single beds.
Three (3) showers, (3) toilets and one (1) bath.
Kitchen is user friendly, dishwasher but no microwave.
The outdoor patio area, that includes a BBQ, is a feature of the house and is great for outdoor living and dining.
A couple could easily live here very comfortably using only the ground floor of the house.
The use of a small mobile home, which we own, is negotiable.

We live in a special area. It is a quiet and secluded residential neighbourhood, close to the calm waters of Moreten Bay and convenient to all needs.
Being close to the ocean enables us to enjoy walks, bike rides, swimming, paddling and fishing, all in our immediate local area. The local council keeps the shoreline and its facilities well maintained and clean. This includes public BBQ and eating areas right on the shoreline.
Restaurants and coffee shops are all very close as are local corner stores. This includes the local boat harbour where fresh fish is always available. Larger shops / supermarkets are nearby (Dolphin Central) as are facilities like gyms, pools and golf courses. Major shopping centres are within easy driving distance.
The local area is well served by public transport. We are 35 minutes from Brisbane’s International and domestic airports, 45 minutes from Brisbane’s city centre.
We have family friends who are native French speakers living in the next street.

The immediate area holds much to offer in terms of lifestyle and convenience. Apart from the natural attraction of living near the sea and enjoying related activities, facilities like gyms, pools and golf courses are easily accessible on the peninsula. Activites available vary from parachute jumps to tennis to sitting quietly in peaceful surrounds with a book or throwing in a fishing line.
Situated where we are it is easy driving to the famous surf beaches of the Gold Coast (1hr 30min) and the Sunshine Coast (1hr 15min). Bribie Island is close, while ferry trips allow access to the beautiful Moreton and/or whale watching excursions.
We are surrounded by picturesque National Park areas many of which are from only one (1) to two (2) hours away.
World Famous Steve Irwin’s Australia Zoo is a 45 min drive to our north.
Where we live means that we are also close enough to the centre of Brisbane to enjoy the attractions of Queensland’s capital city - theatre, museums, shopping etc.

It is important for us to find our house has been well cared for in our absence. We have good neighbours and family living close by who can be readily contacted if issues arise.
