Charming two bedroom house in Newcastle, NSW just a short drive to some of the best beaches in Australia and a beautiful nature reserve where you can see kangaroos, koalas and emus. The house is tidy and easy to maintain. We have also just added a brand new second bathroom. There are beautiful forest views from the back balcony and a fantastic local bakery, shop and pub within walking distance. Newcastle is a well positioned coastal city, just two hours drive north of Sydney.

Our house is in a lovely suburban street. Our neighbours are fantastic; friendly but quiet. Our back deck overlooks Blackbutt Reserve which is a 5min drive away. There is a local park with play equipment just down the road.

From our house, Blackbutt Reserve is very close (only a 5min drive). This is where you can visit koalas, kangaroos, kookaburras, emus and wombats.
Magnificent surf beaches are a 15min drive away. If it's too cold for a swim, the walks along the beaches are still fantastic.
Lake Macquarie is also a 15min drive in the other direction. Great for boating, water-skiiing and walks.
There is a bus stop and train station within walking distance from our house which takes you to Newcastle CBD. The large Westfield shopping centre is only a 5min drive. But even better than that, our local shops are only a 10 min walk away. They include a great pub, Euro Patisserie, butcher, florist, pharmacy, mini supermarket, and the city's best coffee at Little Lane Cafe.

We would prefer a couple or a family of 3 to stay in our house. We have no pets. We will arrange a gardener to mow the lawns so you won't need to worry about the garden. We are looking for kind and considerate people who would look after our house like their own.
We will be in England from 28 June to 23 September, 2023 to visit family. We would like to stay in Oxfordshire, Hampshire or Canterbury, but are open to any suggestions. Ideally, we would like a simultaneous swap so we can stay in the one house for the entire 3 months.
