Newport is close to Melbourne CBD, but also very close to the beautiful suburb of Williamstown with city views, yacht clubs, beaches and parks. It is close to Yarraville, a sought after suburb with an independent movie theater, bars and cafes, and easily accessible by car and train.

Our place is a 5-min walk away from Newport Lakes Reserve, which is a walking, running and bird-watching paradise. Newport/Altona North also offers a council run public pool with shallow pools for children included. Part of the complex offers a gym and a range of fitness classes.

A gorgeous coffee shop is a 5min walk away, and grocery shopping is 5min by car (supermarket, bottle shop, pizza, Greek food, bakery, newsagent, pharmacy, and a cafe.)

The train station is 1.9km away and we either walk, ride or take the bus to get there. However, plenty of parking is available.
From the station, it takes 10min to get into Melbourne CBD.
A 8min drive from our place gets you to ‚Grazeland‘ in Spotswood, which is an outdoor entertainment area with food stalls offering food from around the world. In Spotswood‘s main street, you will find plenty of cafes, a fantastic wine bar, a Post office and florists. Spotswood is only one train stop away from Newport.
