I live in Fremantle, Western Australia. It is the port of Perth and has some interesting history.
I am a mature-aged woman with adult children who live overseas. I do a lot of travelling - mostly to the
Netherlands and Amsterdam where I used to live. I am an artist (oil paintings) and am a guide at the Art
Gallery of Western Australia. I also love to cycle and have done some tours in Holland and Italy.
I am more than happy to pet sit/care - this does not have to be an exchange.

Superb location close to beach and Fremantle. Just a short stroll - 5mns, or free bus to the centre featuring the famous cappuccino strip, markets, boutique shops, bars and restaurants. Fremantle has some of the best preserved colonial buildings in the state.
An original, character, limestone cottage, built 1893. This cottage is cosy and filled with history. Pleasant wisteria covered patio w barbeque for outdoor enjoyment. Very friendly neighbourhood.
South Beach also within easy access. Only 30mns by train to Perth (capital city).
Day trips include the beautiful Swan Valley, well known for its wineries.
Rottnest Island, 30mn ferry ride. wonderful holiday spot, cycling, fishing, boating. Cottages can be rented. Hotel also has accommodation.
The famous Yallingup/Margaret River area, a world renown wine region with premium surfing beaches, is about two and a half hours drive south.

The neighbourhood is very friendly. It is only a few minutes walk into town or free CAT bus at the end of the street can drop you at the railway station. Even though close to everything we are far enough away for a quiet, restful stay.

a five minutes walk to food shops, coffee shops, restaurants, wine shop, boutiques, wine bars, a huge park, the beach and the railway station. Fremantle has preserved it's heritage of the 1800's and embraced new designs.
