We have had a number of exchanges in the past to Europe several years ago now but unfortunately they do not register on the new homelink site. Our family has travelled extensively both internationally and in Australia over many years. Christina is a High School - Head of Department Teacher - Gabi is a high school student and Pete is a Police Officer. Christina enjoys yoga and gardening, Gabi enjoys, well what do teenage girls enjoy - shopping, the company of her friend's, and her two cats, Pete enjoys his time off from work to pilot light sport aeroplanes when the weather and finances permit. The two cats Luna and Smudge can be looked after away from home if required and the chickens (we have 5) can be looked after by visiting family or friends. Presently we are only able to exchange during the Queensland school holidays. We will respond to all requests.

Our home is a large and modern contemporary family dwelling with views to the Gold Coast. It is close to World Heritage National Parks, beaches and theme parks. It has a good sized upstairs kitchen, large upstairs dining, living areas and lots of outdoor dining and living areas. Our home has four large bedrooms in total, upstairs master with ensuite, the two other upstairs bedrooms share the family bathroom, our home has four toilets in total, two upstairs and two downstairs, so no waiting around :-), a double lockup garage, a study, separate laundry, a second kitchen and living area are down stairs with a second ensuite master bedroom, movie theatre, large entertainment deck, fruit trees, bushland/forest and garden. Less than five minute drive to local corner store and golf course or drive less than 10 minutes further up the mountain to the town centre with all conveniences of a large shopping centre, newsagency, bottle shop, hairdressers, doctors, dentist, chemist, restaurants, cafes, gym, public swimming pool, post office, petrol station and tourist shopping strip (The Gallery Walk).

Tamborine Mountain, great neighbours. The mountain has a genuine village and community spirit about it. Nearby to National parks on the mountain, bushland to the rear of house with the occasional wallaby, bush turkey or koala strolling by, numerous birdlife

Just on an hours drive to Brisbane or 40 minutes to Gold Coast beaches and glam. 15 minutes to the lovely hinterland town of Canungra. 40 minutes to the World Heritage Lamington National Park (LNP) via Canungra or travel a similar distance to Binna Burra at the other end of LNP. On Tamborine Mountain are numerous cafes and restaurants, galleries, wineries, hotels, breweries and a distillery. We have a number of smaller rainforest National Parks right on the mountain itself, most feature waterfalls. The botanical gardens are maintained by volunteers and there are any number of events to visit or become involved in during the year e.g. weekends markets - twice a month, Gasoline and garter belt weekend, Tour de Tamborine cycle event, Scarecrow festival on the Mountain, hang glider take off area, Tamborine Mountain Wedding expo, Open gardens Springtime on the mountain, every Saturday the Parkrunners do their thing at the new sports grounds or you can commemorate ANZAC day in Main Street
