To other Homelinkers contemplating an exchange in Perth, Our recent exchange in Perth was indeed a very enjoyable experience. Esme and Richard are a very personable couple and welcomed us into their home in Yokine with a very pleasant dinner on the evening of our arrival in Perth. The suburb of Yokine, is very well situated for travel on public transport into the centre of Perth and Richard and Esme's home is just a 50m stroll to a very frequent bus service into the centre of the city. Our accommodation was very well designed and is attached to Esme and Richard's home and is fully self contained with all facilities. There was a good collection of relevant travel and attractions information to keep us informed on what's available to make our stay in Perth a pleasant experience. We had quite a number of trips into Perth city and enjoyed walks at King's Park, a visit to the Western Australian Parliament, and on two occasions visited Fremantle on the very comfortable local ferries that run along the Swan River. We also enjoyed trips north, east and south of Perth as far as Mandurah in the south and the Pinnacles to the north of Perth. We also enjoyed driving to various other suburbs and the beaches (Cottesloe in Perth). I don't think we went to Perth with any preconceived ideas of what it might be like but it is somewhat less 'busy' than our home city of Brisbane and has a very relaxed atmosphere. Our accommodation was very, very clean and welcoming after a long day exploring around and about Perth. We look forward to welcoming Esme and Richard to our unit in Caloundra when they visit Queensland in early 2021. Sharyn and Leo Scanlan, Caloundra, Queensland.

Richard & Esme, are two wonderful people, who made me feel very special, when I came to stay in their guest suite. They were always happy to answer my questions & give me advice on my vacation. They were available to accompany me for a few days, & we went for a small tour of the South West, as far as Margaret River. Yokine is a quiet residential area, located very close to Perth. It is well connected to public transport, and the bus stop is only a short walk from the house. My stay with Richard & Esme was wonderful & the accommodation was extremely comfortable. We resumed our friendship recently, when they came to stay at my home in Roma, it felt like I had two holidays this year .......!!

Richard and Esme I had a wonderful time during my stay with you. Your home is warm and welcoming, just like both of you. I was very comfortable in my private apartment. I appreciated the traveling we did in the Margaret River area, the visits of Perth and its surroundings, but most of all, I am grateful that Homelink allowed us to meet and to become friends, even if the distance is great between us, I do not forget you. I do hope we will have a chance to meet again soon. Perhaps in France ?? Thank you for all you did for me.
