I am a single woman, an artist and hiker. When I travel, it is sometimes on my own and sometimes with a friend or family member. In the past few years, I have done several exchanges, some through home exchange and some on my own (through craigslist or a friend of a friend). My car is available as are my cats who need little care and hide most of the time. I'm open to exploring new ideas of where to travel, in the U.S. as well as in foreign lands. In my travels I like to hike and/or walk and have a special interest in the arts.

And it is ideally located for visiting San Francisco, Napa Valley, the shore and the beauty of North Marin County. I would gladly go back.

A small house, filled with color -- art, sculpture, mosaic, painted walls and more. A large garden with more art plus roses and a redwood tree. An artist's studio in back plus a small cottage with one tenant residing. Indoors, 1 shy fluffy cat. One queen bed and one queen sofa bed. The house is in San Anselmo, on a quiet street of 4 houses, about 1/2 hour from San Francisco, 1/2 hour from Point Reyes National Seashore & Mount Tamalpais, 1 hour from Napa & Sonoma, located near Fairfax. Between the 2 towns, everything you need, including an amazing grocer -- Good Earth.

A quiet tree-filled neighborhood with only 4 houses on the street. Easy access to the main street which leads to Highway 101. Hiking trails right out the door and more not far away.

You can walk to 4 grocery stores, a multitude of restaurants and cafes, plus easy access to hiking trails. Take a trip to the "big city," San Francisco, or go wine-tasting in Napa or Sonoma. At Point Reyes National Seashorem 1/2 hour away, you may see whales or a bobcat. Or spend the day at the beach or climbing to the lighthouse. There are several theater companies in Marin County, plus art galleries and more.
