My husband (79 - lawyer) and I (77) have had more than 80 swaps in the last 40 years - all over the world. We are as well experienced as reliable exchange partners and open and curious to meet other people.
In case of hosting we will show you the "hidden treasuries" of our region which is rich of mediaeval cities - mostly with a castle within, lots of spas with nice parks, fantastic museums etc.
Only 2 minutes to drive you have the possibility to listen nearly each night to the free of costs concerts of the students and professors of our music university in Detmold, who is to offer much more: castle, 3 x times a week a charming farmers market, Germanys oldest sanctuary, the German"Stonehenge, a 60 m high "Herrmann the German"- Memorial (only to walk through the nearby forest), worldheritage aims and several interesting museums.

Silent situated in a suburb of the mediaval founded city of Detmold with plenty to see: castles, open-air-museum nature-museum, concerts in the music-academia, market, nice pubs and various restaurants, visiting the private brewery, Germany oldest sanctuary with eagles etc., an interesting birds-zoo, shopping, within a distance of only 40 minutes to drive several historical towns, spas with wonderful parks, saltwater- pools, old towns with half-timbered house, several museum and castles nearby. Only 5 minutes to walk to the forest with is wellknown"Hermann-memorial"(58 m high). Spectacular Germanys "Stonehenge": the "Externsteine" - only 10 minuters to drive.
