Beratzhausen ist situated in the lovely "Labertal" and is next to Regensburg (Unesco worldheritage; about 150000 inh.). You can reach the train in ten minutes walkingdistance. it takes you about 20 minutes to regensburg (lovely old town!!!) . in the other direction you can go by train to nürnberg (500000 inh.) which is famous for its castle and its old city centre.
next to nürnberg is zirndorf (from our house by car about one hour) which is espacially intresting for children because of the playmobil park. 30 minutes away from the house we got the so called "dino-park" in denkendorf. and when you go in this direction you pass "riedenburg" where you should have a look the "rosenburg" (castle) where you can watch a show with eagles.
It takes you about one and a half hour by car to munich, or you take the train via regensburg.
In beratzhausen we got a public "open" swimmingpool and you can take our kajaks to paddle up and down the laber next to our hose.
in walking distance/ bike distance you can try rockclimbing.
and when you think you got explored all along the river laber you can go to the bavarian forest (by car about one our). there (st. englmar) you got attractions like roller coster, hiiking, biking,...
