2 Tem 2021 - 9 Tem 2021We exchanged with Bridie May and Gabriel for one week. Bridie May was very clear in her instructions and information prior to our departure from home which made it all very easy. When we arrived there was a beautiful home with an enormous amount of space and comfort awaiting us. It was spotlessly cleaned and there was plenty of towels, linen and other essentials available. A box of delicious chocolates and a card awaited us on arrival and a host of yummy homemade scones in the freezer. The house was very comfortable and the extensive gardens and plants were a delight. So peaceful and serene. The views around the house were stunning. We loved the town of Dingle which is about 7k from the house. There were two good supermarkets there which provided all the necessities we needed. We visited Louis Mulcahy pottery workshop and shop and Dunquinn beach. The scenery in this area is quite spectacular. The beach in Ventry on the other side of Dingle was our favourite. Lovely safe beach to have a swim which Tim loved. Beautiful to walk. It was about 6k round trip to walk to the end of the beach and back. Quinns had a nice outdoor area for food. We had young family visit us for the weekend which was prearranged with Bridie May. We visited the aquarium which was a real hit for the 5 year old. Bridie May had also bought him a bucket and spade which was real delight when they arrived. She also had some entertainment in the way of foozball and a rocking horse. The twenty something year old children loved the foozball. We had a lovely relaxing and enjoyable holiday and we would highly recommend Bridie May and Gabriel as HomeLink exchange partners. Many thanks again Bridie May and Gabriel.
