We spent 3 great weeks in Carrigaholt. The house became a real home to us during this time. We met many nice people and experienced the relaxed Irish lifestyle first hand. The cliffs and the wild Atlantic Ocean made a big impression on us. Dolphins played in the surf off the Bridges of Ross. We were amazed by the huge sandy beaches, for example Doonbegbay. Thank you for these experiences.

Our house is in the picturesque village of Carrigaholt on the Loop Head peninsula. New modern house, warm and comfortable, consisting of a large kitchen and family room, three spacious bedrooms, a playroom/4th bedroom, three bathrooms. One bedroom has a queen size bed, the other two bedrooms each have a double bed and there are two additional single beds.
Shannon airport is 70 minutes drive (www.shannonairport.ie) with daily flights to the US. Carrigaholt is situated in Loop Head (winner of the best tourist destination in 2013 (www.loophead.ie) and is situated on the wild Atlantic way (www.wildatlanticway.com). The village has 4 pubs, a shop and an award winning restaurant, The Long Dock. Amenities such as sea angling, dolphin watching (www.dolphinwatch.ie), guided walks (www.thelongwayround.ie) are available in the village. Loop Head has magnificent cliffs, sea views and beaches. The Cliffs of Moher and the Burren are 50 minutes by car. 7 seater (Peugeot 5008) available

Our home in a quiet eclave in a village with friendly neighbours. Carrigaholt is a small village on Loop Head. Historically it was an important location on the Shannon estuary, controlling access up and down the river. Amenities include beautiful, secluded beaches close by, cliff walks, fishing. The area is ideal for those who wish to explore the unspoilt landscape of the west coast of Ireland

Our house is in the village of Carrigaholt,a small traditional fishing village, with an award winning restaurant, shop and pubs with traditional Irish music. There is a beach in Carrigaholt and several other beaches narby. Carrigaholt is situated on the Loop Head Peninsula, winner of the Best Place to holiday in Ireland tourist destination 2013.
