  Eileen and Tim are a lovely couple, they made us feel at home. Eileen prepared home-cooked food for us on arrival, delicious!! She cared about us and was very attentive. The house was beautiful and clean. They recommended places to visit and restaurants, we got to know the area. We are delighted, thank you!!

  We spent two weeks in Killaloe at Eileen and Tim's lovely home. Killaloe is ideally located for visiting the west coast of Ireland and the surroundings of Lough Derg. We are delighted with our stay and the welcome prepared by our hosts. the house is very comfortable, decorated, equipped with all the necessary household appliances. A flower garden and maintained with care allows you to rest after your Irish ballads. We have always been welcomed by smiling and very friendly Irish people in extraordinary landscapes. This exchange is one of the most beautiful that we have achieved. We thank Eillen and Tim for this exchange and the attention they have given to our house. Eric et Véronique.

  Enjoyed a very relaxing long weekend in Eileen & Tim's beautiful home. Eileen prepared a very tasty chicken curry accompanied with brown rice for our arrival. Also some freshly baked scones which were delicious. We were very lucky with the weather and managed to go on one of the cruises on the lake and also fitted in some very enjoyable walks around Killaloe. Thank you Eileen & Tim.

  We had a wonderful week in Tim & Eileen's beautiful home in Killaloe. Unfortunately the weather did not allow us to dine outside on their lovely patio but the comfort of the house inside made up for that. Eileen had a delicious home made lasagne waiting for us on arrival which we truly enjoyed. The house is just a very short walk from Killaloe but situated in a very quiet estate. We enjoyed lots of walks in the surrounding area and also had a lovely boat trip on the lake. Killaloe and neighbouring Ballina have some lovely restaurants and coffee shops and I would highly recommend the restaurant and bar food in the lovely hotel in Ballina and the coffee and pastries in the small French café in Killaloe were amazing. I would highly recommend Tim & Eileen's home for exchange. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home.

• A wonderful home in a beautiful area

  We loved our stay in Eileen and Tim’s lovely comfortable home. It has everything you could wish for and more and is ideally located to explore the magical Lough Derg area. When not relaxing in the gorgeous garden or wandering around lovely Killaloe, we enjoyed leisurely strolls in some of the other pretty lakeside village – Mountshannon, Garrykennedy (we had a lovely meal in Larkins - well worth a visit) and Dromineer. As the weather was warm and sunny we made full use of some of the lovely swimming areas along the lake, our favourite being the blue flag beach in Mountshannon, and the young folk spent many hours paddle boarding on the lake. Thank you Eileen and Tim for your hospitality and for giving us the opportunity to experience this beautiful part of the country.

  Eileen was the ideal exchange partner. Her communication was always prompt, informative and friendly. We met Eileen's lovely neighbour Lisa when we arrived. Eileen and Tim's house was both spotless and immaculate with attention to detail given in every area for our comfort. Eileen sent me videos ahead of time explaining how to work all the appliances so everything was very easy in that area. Her spacious and very modern kitchen was well equipped. She left a home prepared and most delicious lasagne and garlic bread for us so we didn't need to worry about cooking on our first night, along with lovely breads. The beds were very comfortable and I just loved the pillows. Killaloe / Ballina is a lovely part of Ireland. We didn’t travel very far as we loved walking into the centre, having coffee and cakes in the fabulous cafes, eating in the very good local restaurants and we were able to buy all our groceries locally. Some of the group enjoyed the local kayaking on Lough Derg. I especially loved sitting in Eileen’s beautiful and very peaceful garden. I would highly recommend Eileen and Tim as exchange partners. Thank you both for a wonderful and restful holiday.

  We knew Eileen and Tim the day before they were coming to our house and we arrived to theirs. The food Eileen has prepared could not be better and the dining roorm is big and comfortable. A new house in the best place of the beauty city of Killaloe with the roman bridge, Cathedral, pubs, harbour, river, lovely people , nice shops and well communicated. Killaloe is all advantages in my dearest country of Ireland. Thank you Eileen an Tim for the unforgetable mounth of holidays we have enjoyed in your quite house
