It is a wonderfully green, treed area with parklands we drove through every day, yet so very close to the city. Even an observatory 2 minutes drive away where we star gazed one night! Their house was spacious, comfortable and warm, with a delightful garden and fantastic bay views from the living room, bedroom and terrace - beautiful sunrises from bed! The location is just perfect - there is very easy access to cafe’s, botanic gardens, museum and the wonderful nature of the Otago Peninsula. We enjoyed albatross and sea lion sightings, hiking, gardens, Larnach Castle, a walking tour of the historic buildings in the city centre (highly recommended), local pubs (though the famous Duke of Wellington was closed, so we’ll be back). Glyn and Howard were super friendly and helpful to us newbies and everything went perfectly. We hope to visit for longer again one day.
