Our home is immaculately comfortable and modern in a lovely tree-lined neighborhood. A large park with a historic estate borders our neighborhood. Wilmington, which President Joe Biden calls home, is perfectly situated for easy day travel by train to our country's birthplace, Philadelphia (30 minutes), our nation's capital, Washington DC (90 minutes) and New York City (90 minutes). But no need to leave Delaware! We have the world-famous and magnificent Dupont estates like Longwood Gardens, Winterthur and Nemours to tour. The beach is only a 90 minute ride either to New Jersey or the scenic resort towns of Rehoboth and Lewes in Delaware. The Brandywine River valley hosts wineries, kayaking and some of the most beautiful scenery in the mid-Atlantic as well as the Brandywine River Art Museum. Along the Christina River you'll find the colonial town of New Castle with homes and buildings dating back to the early days of America. Delaware boasts lots of parks for hiking, picnicking and play. We can offer visits to our club for swimming and golf as well as use of our car for easy trips into nearby Philadelphia for lots of historical sight-seeing and fine dining. So much to do within such a short distance!!! We have three well-appointed bedrooms, an excellent kitchen, four bathrooms, three living areas, a screened porch, backyard garden and lots of room for children's play.

History and beauty are all around us! Our immediate neighborhood is tree-lined and full of wonderfully friendly neighbors who will delight in meeting visitors. Available to our guests will be golf at the well-known Dupont Country Club.The famous Dupont family built their beautiful estates in our area that are now open to the public. Revolutionary War sites like Valley Forge are close by. Wilmington is centrally located to permit easy visits to the popular mid-Atlantic sites like NYC, Washington DC and, of course, our close neighbor, Philadelphia. An easy 25 minute drive or train ride takes you to Philadelphia and all the colonial sites where our country was conceived and born. Every day can be filled with fun whether you stay close to home or venture out on short junkets. No need to talk about the fun and beauty you'll find in NYC and Washington but using Wilmington as your home base allows you to see those cities at a comfortable pace.

We take a lot of pride in our home so we would expect visitors to do the same. Its appearance and condition should be the same when we return as when we left. No exterior landscaping maintenance is required but trash and recycling will have to be put on the curb on the appropriate days. All appliances are available to use. We are happy to share our food staples. We like our neighbors so we hope our visitors will be respectful and not disturb them. Our daughter and son-in-law live in the area and will be happy to help if any issues arise. We have a few indoor plants and outdoor pots which may need occasional watering..
