Fran and Chris welcomed us into their beautiful, comfortable home and made sure that we were well settled. Their home is a perfect example of a Cotswolds “Gem”, having an expansive and colourful country garden. We felt privileged to be able to stay there. We could never have imagined how picturesque and relaxing that Quenington village is. We really needed a good, restful break and we are very grateful for that. We enjoyed the friendly locals, dining at the Keepers Arms, country walks, the picnic on the Green, Cotswolds Fish and Chips and Sole Luna Pizza. We also enjoyed very much exploring the wider Cotswolds. Fran and Chris are wonderful hosts and we thank them very much for the special experience that we had in the Cotswolds.

Fran had prepared the house exactly as arranged. We found absolutely nothing that she could have done better. We felt at home at once and do hope that we can visit again in the warmer months.

We had a wonderful stay in Fran and Chris’ large and comfortable home in the quaint village of Quenington. We wanted to experience English country life as well as visit small villages and towns usually overlooked by the hoards of tourists. This was perfect! We loved the countryside of the Coswolds and as Fran and Chris left us plenty of suggestions: great dining, attractions, driving routes and especially the peaceful country walk routes (we even went to the most wonderful circus!) and much more. We were also able to take day trips to larger modern towns like Oxford and where Downton Abby was filmed. We enjoyed every moment. It was even more than we could have hoped for! This is one home exchange we will always remember with fond memories. Thank you so much Fran and Chris!

What a wonderful experience we had. Chris and Fran's beautiful home in a rural setting was a home away from home. They were very thoughtful and left us with goodies to start our time there. Excellent explanations about the house, garden, local village and surrounding villages, tourist information and emergency contacts. Their daughter and partner extended hospitality to us beyond exchange agreement. We felt very grateful and comfortable. Fantastic!

This was a non-simultaneous exchange with exchanges 1 year apart and which worked perfectly. We really loved our stay in Quenington, after having been welcomed by Fran & Chris with tea & home-made cakes. It is a large house, but when not out & about we spent most of our time in the sun room or in the garden. It was September, so we enjoyed its products of fresh tomatoes & basil, apples, peppers & more. We visited Cirencester, Cheltenham and the canals and spent lots of time on country walks and picking blackberries. We made good use of Fran & Chris's recommendations and enjoyed the village delights around - walks, coffee shop, historic pub, local pub curry evening and chatting to locals who were very welcoming when we met them on our walks. This is a lovely part of the country and an exchange to be recommended.

From the first contact with Chris and Fran Huckle their communication was easy and forthcoming. Over the months approaching our house swap communication was frequent, and very helpful addressing any queries we raised. On arrival in the UK we were lucky to meet up at the airport before they departed for Australia that same evening. We loved their family home, and the location of their property. We immersed ourselves into life over the weeks of living in their home and enjoyed our relaxing holiday, which went along with no difficulties that could not be resolved immediately. Keen gardeners I was happy pottering around attending to what was asked of me with respect to their lovely surrounding garden. When we returned to Australia our own home was exactly as we had left it. Much appreciated was the fact that our 2 cats, own garden, indoor plants had been tended well, and they were all healthy and well. Thanks Chris and Fran for your friendship, and a wonderful experience!

We had a wonderful 2 weeks at the Huckle home! It was a true Cotwsolds tour! The house and the garden also had a truly countryside spirit. They awaited us with delicious meals, and also let us harvest and eat all of their fruit! We have received all information we needed, they have been very responsive. Also the neighbours were really helpful and friendly, we had a great time with them! Our home was left perfectly clean aswell. Thank you very much for this experience!
