We lived in the Dorsoduro district where the residents live, we almost did not feel like tourists. The apartment of Roberto and Valeria is quietly located and functionally furnished. And in 10 minutes we got to the stop of the vaporetto (waterbus) and could quickly reach everything in the city. With gladness we think back to the time in "our" apartment.

We spent a wonderful week in the Venetian apartment of Roberto, Valeria & Marta! It is like a time capsule full of old photographs, pictures and books. It is spacious and clean, and not far from Piazzale Roma where the buses stop. The neighbourhood (Dorsoduro) is lively with a lot of students but also Venetians still, which we loved. We got the keys directly in Berlin from Roberto and his family. They also took great care of our (now remaining and lonely) cat and the apartment. We would love to exchange, again, in two years at the next Biennale! :-)

Wir waren zum Biennale-Besuch in Venedig und haben es sehr genossen in Valerias und Robertos perfekt und gemütlich ausgestatteter Wohnung zu sein. Wir haben uns sehr sehr wohl gefühlt, danke!

We had a very nice time in Venice and in Roberto's apartment. The apartment is located in a quiet area. All sights are within easy walking distance. Venice is a unique city, it feels like a fairy tale. We experienced the fourth highest Aqua Alta of all time, but felt well prepared thanks to Roberto's tips and the 12 pairs of rubber boots. The apartment has everything you need, our children were very happy about the toys.

We were excited to try a home exchange, but a little nervous too. Thank you to Valeria and Roberto for giving us confidence in the process. They were such gracious, communicative hosts and we felt confident that they would be great guests when they stayed at our home as well.Roberto was able to meet us at the bus station when we arrived in Venice and led us to the apartment which was a great help, particularly when we were jet-lagged! The apartment is in the Dorsoduro, out of the fray and in a great neighborhood within walking distance of many sites and with easy access to the water taxi. Roberto and Valeria were also respectful guests in our Los Angeles home. We loved Venice so much and hope that we will meet again sometime.

Dear Roberto, Valeria and Marta, thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home in Venice with us so many times! WE love Venice in December and every time we can come back - our hearts are jumping up and down. Your second home is so welcoming and cozy and has lots of space! Everything is well organized and the communication with you so easy and fun! The appartment is so well located - we feel like Venetians - with the little supermarked and the shopper we can use to go there. Our favourite neighbourhood - and so quiet1 We love it!
