We have a baby (born in February 2018) so in spring/summer 2019 we'll be looking for somewhere easy to get to (Europe, Ireland, UK?). Ideally we'd like to exchange with a family that has a young child too, or one that understands the slight disorganisation a first child brings. Our ideal would be a small town or village on a train line in a house that we could walk to the bakery, park or beach. We are looking for a week or ten days in early August. If Irish exchangers are looking, it might suit as a base to settle a student into college.

Our central city house with private garden on a quiet Dublin street is near to all tourist attractions: St Patrick's Cathedral is at the end of the road. The family-sized house is ideal for discovering Dublin and Ireland.

The house is comfortable. There are 3 bedrooms (2 with double beds, one with a child's cot), and sofa bed in the living room if needed. It has all modern conveniences, plus a wood burning stove in the kitchen/diner, a (hot water) solar panel and fruit trees and bushes in the back garden. At the moment there is quite a lot of baby equipment. The street is a cul-de-sac so although the house is very central, it is on a quiet residential street.
We have no car - we walk or cycle everywhere in town. We would need an exchange either with good rail or bus connections (or for remote locations, the loan of a car, which of course we can't reciprocate).

We have two playful, affectionate cats.

St Patrick's Cathedral is at the end of our quiet cul-de-sac. We are right in the centre of Dublin - most tourist attractions, restaurants, theatres, galleries, museums etc are within walking distance. Stephen's Green is a five minute walk, Trinity is ten minutes away. We're within minutes of Georges Street and Camden Street, which have loads of bars and restaurants.

This is a non-smoking house, and as we have cats it isn't really suitable to bring your own pets (we are very happy to look after pets when we are away).
Please note, we don't have a car and so can't offer one for exchange. If your house is in a beautiful but remote area, we may be reluctant to exchange because we'd have to hire a car, which makes our holiday much more expensive. Our ideal is somewhere within walking or cycling distance of the local shop and train station...
